Steven G. Walder joined the firm in 2002 and is currently a Shareholder. Having grown up in a family of attorneys, he took an interest in the law at an early age as he watched his father meticulously prepare cases for trial. Steven credits his father's influence with teaching him the value of attention to detail in protecting and promoting clients' interests.
Prior to his career in the law, Steven worked in the banking industry as a credit analyst, and in the securities industry as a stockbroker and equities trader. His experiences in these areas continue to inform his legal practice in commercial litigation, as well as in securities matters and criminal cases involving financial issues.
Throughout his legal career, Steven has been committed to developing a thorough understanding of each client's circumstances and unique needs. The part of his work that he most enjoys is helping clients to arrive at practical solutions to their legal issues by carefully analyzing the facts and supporting documents of each case. He is motivated by the desire to achieve a just result and positive outcome for each client with whom he works.
Among the many cases Steven has handled are those involving civil and criminal governmental investigations regarding medical care provider reimbursement, securities fraud, and mortgage fraud. He has also represented policyholders in insurance coverage disputes.
Steven resides in Roslyn, New York with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth sports and volunteering in the community. His community involvement includes serving as a trustee and adviser to a national organization that supports adults living with autism spectrum disorders.
